Remove one (1) Jacaranda, remove two (2) Robinia from rear of property and replace with two (2) local native trees from Council’s Preferred Tree list, of minimum 45L pot size, growing to a mature height greater than 5metres, anywhere on the property within one (1) month of removal. These trees are unsuitable and unsustainable in their location; they are being suppressed in form, size and growth by the surrounding buildings as competition for sunlight, nutrients and soil moisture has reduced their ability to grow to their full potential. No amount of sound horticultural practice would restore these trees to long term vigour and vitality including the pruning of branches and deadwood removal.

Remove one (1) Corymbia citriodora from centre of rear boundary and replace with two (2) local native trees from Council’s Preferred Tree list, of minimum 45L pot size, growing to a mature height greater than 5metres, anywhere on the property within one (1) month of removal. This tree is unsuitable and unsustainable in its location. Disturbances have occurred recently within the tree protection zone and structural root zone in 2021 with excavations for a water tank. The disturbances were major and have thinned out the trees crown allowing the sap sucking pest “winter bronzing”, (Thaumasticoris peregrinus) to attack the tree. The tree’s roots have heaved the pavers in the private open space of the neighbouring property, if the property owners are wishing to conduct repairs, this would require further root pruning within the Structural Root Zone of the tree, putting the tree at risk of destabilisation. Please be advised that a comprehensive Arborist report has been presented.

Remove one (1) Liquidambar from rear garden on southern boundary and replace with one (1) local native tree from Council’s Preferred Tree list, of minimum 45L pot size, growing to a mature height greater than 5metres, anywhere on the property within one (1) month of removal. This tree has lost several large and small branches over the last three (3) years. Its canopy has been pruned heavily away from the neighbour’s property, the retaining wall between the two property has cracks. There is evidence of included bark between the tree’s two main leaders, the likelihood of codominant stem failure is possible. To prune this tree to lighten the wind load on the codominant stem would require a large amount to be removed, leaving it as a poor specimen. This tree presents an unacceptable level of risk to the residence.

Remove one (1) Crows Ash from rear left corner of property and replace with one (1) local native tree from Council’s Preferred Tree list, of minimum 45L pot size, growing to a mature height greater than 5metres, anywhere on the property within one (1) month of removal. This tree’s canopy overhangs the neighbouring property, to prune it away would require a significant amount to be removed, leaving the tree a poor specimen. It was noted that the tree has a sunken section in its trunk which could be an indicator of internal decay. The canopy was showing signs of stress; small leaf size and a sparse canopy. This tree is also unsuitable and unsustainable in its location.

Remove one (1) Eucalypt adjacent to side boundary and replace with one (1) local native tree from Council’s Preferred Tree list, of minimum 45L pot size, growing to a mature height greater than 5metres, anywhere on the property within one (1) month of removal. This tree presents with several issues; it has lost large and small branches over eleven years, there are two large wounds at the base with evidence of decay, and its canopy overhangs the neighbouring property - to prune it away would require a significant amount to be removed leaving it a poor specimen.

Remove one (1) Cypress Pine adjacent to rear property boundary and replace with one (1) local native tree from Council’s Preferred Tree list, of minimum 45L pot size, growing to a mature height greater than 5metres, anywhere on the property within one (1) month of removal. This tree is unsuitable and unsustainable in its location as it is planted on the rear boundary where it has insufficient space to develop. As the trunk expands it will continue to cause extensive damage to the rear fence and its roots will continue to damage the neighbouring property. The canopy overhangs the neighbouring property, to prune it away would require a significant amount to be removed, leaving it a poor specimen.
