We don't have enough places on the Coast at costs low enough to buy any permanent accomodation, or pay regular rent. Pensioners, and other who rely on Centrelink benefits need to know that they can afford to live in a "Caravan Park" that isn't home to the local "druggos", such as Toukley became.

I hope this development goes ahead quickly.

At present , the caravan park is home to 126 long term residents living in fixed caravans, annexes and moveable dwellings. Apparently residents have been informed that with the upgrading of the park, there will no longer be rental caravans. So basically the park owners "Orr Investment Group" want to force out low socio economic residents to make way for cashed up rich retirees. The "Orrs" also own Kangy Grove estate and they have been doing a huge amount of development activity which has seen the destruction of a large amount of protected trees, the filling of a dam which was home to variety of wildlife. They have previously been issued warnings and have received an infringement notice by council, but they still continue to cutdown trees without council approval. They also forced some low socio economic residents out of Kangy Grove estate and transferred them to Homelands caravan park, as a means of getting rid of them. Please don't let this development application be approved, otherwise we will see more destruction of the environment and low socio economic residents forced out onto the streets.

Don't the Orr's also own Meanda Village at Wyong? Where they extort retirees into paying exorbitent prices for fixes and upgrades.
Our Council needs to get onti this, that is all so wrong!
