1. As a nearby resident I fully support this application. The family owned business is a local institution with a long history of providing quality and responsible service that remains in high demand.

4. As a local of 29 years we support Saray and approve of extending the business hours. They are a family run business and part of the local community fabric.

5. As a resident of Newtown and previously Enmore, I completely support the extended trading hours. They are a valuable and respected part of our community.

6. As a resident of the neighbourhood I 100% support this proposal. Making food available after midnight is vital in a vibrant area such as Newtown/Enmore and surrounding suburbs and Saray have been providing that service brilliantly for many years.

7. As a long time resident of the area I support Saray's application for late night opening hours extension. They have always been a fantastic neighbour to the area.

8. Amazing bussiness, in the past has helped me when I was receiving unwanted male attention to get out of an otherwise potentially dangerous position as a female.

   I have been a local resident for 8 years. They have only contributed positively to the local community when they trade after midnight. Keep them open, keep the streets safe.

9. I've lived in Enmore & Newtown near Saray for over 6 years (first on station st, now on Enmore Rd). They're by far the friendliest restaurant in the area, and as someone who works relatively late, I've always enjoyed being able to get some decent food at a late hour - stopping them trading late will have a negative impact on the cultural life of Enmore rd, and limits culinary options for residents.
   As a resident, I 100% support this application.

10. As a resident I support the longer trading hours. It is important to have places open at night as I feel safer.

13. I have been an area resident for 6 years and can attest to the value this small business has contributed to our neighbourhood. They are kind, courteous and responsible, and never have any trouble. Also, not allowing any food to stay open is a danger to the public in that people who have had a couple drinks need to go home and cook, which is a fire hazard if they fall asleep.

14. I am a local resident and have enjoyed late night visits to this establishment for years. The food and the staff are great and my heart sunk last time I was out late and Saray was not open. It's an institution and a part of Newtown's heart and soul.

17. I've been a resident of Newtown for 7 years and support this application. Saray's provide great food and have friendly welcoming staff. Their late night presence is not only important in satisfying the late night food cravings of the Inner West, but makes Enmore road feel safer.

19. As a resident of the neighborhood, I fully support Saray's application. Saray is a fixture in the community, and a safe and friendly place to eat later at night. I also feel that their opening hours, and the fact that they are always full of customers, makes the late night walk down Enmore Rd a lot safer.

20. I work nights and this is one of the only things available when I finish, it was a life saver after a long shift. I fully support their application for re-extending their opening hours. Those who work there are very patient and calm with late-night revelers. I also only live a few streets away and have never had any trouble with the customers there on my walk home.
    Further as Newtown has a vibrant nightlife, the ability to buy food at night is necessary.

21. I have lived in Newtown for 6 years and fully support this application. Saray's already offers a great service in the area and the provision of late night food makes our communities safer. Beyond this, Saray's being open in the later hours of the night makes my walk down that section of the Enmore Road feel much safer. As a local resident I ask the council to grant this request.

22. I support Saray's application wholeheartedly! As a long term resident of 20 years I have often been a late night customer of this successful small business. Saray is one of the few places that offers healthy food options after hours and serves food and drink to customers with a range of dietary choices. Without it's presence people will be at risk of increased binge drinking and the consequences of that.The restaurant is well loved by locals and is a part of Newtown's history and heritage. Please support successful local businesses by allowing them to continue to serve customers after hours.

23. As a resident of the Newtown community I fully support this application. Saray is nothing other than a safe environment. I have been there countless times, particularly late at night and have never had an issue. Saray in my opinion definitely helps people stay safer at night.

24. As a resident of Enmore and living just round the corner from Saray for over 5 years I fully support this application and would be devastated if it was denied. On many of my visits late at night it has been nothing but safe and super useful to have in the area. Not only are the staff great and it is clearly an established family business it is a landmark of Newtown's history. It'd be ridiculous to stop them from serving late at night. It's business has never created loud or unwanted foot traffic around Newtown/Enmore.

25. I both live and work in the area and am not ashamed to say that some days while raising a special needs child I'd not get around to feeding myself because i too bisy feeding and caring ffr the little one. TThse days were saved once bed time finally happened and friends swing by with Saray.
    Surprisingly there isnt a lot of late night food in the area (despite being the new late night destination post lock-out laws) so I think in the interest of the local community and RSA for the visitors id love to see Saray back on the late night menu

26. This is a great business and I fully support their application. It is one of the few nice places to get late night food at and closing early is doing a diservice to the local community who rely on this place to get late night food. Oporto's is a poor alternative when you can get fresh family run food that really hits the spot. This place is a Newtown institution and should be allowed to trade later hours. It has done so without any problems for countless years and should be allowed to for countless more. Late night food trading is part of the fabric of Newtown's makeup and I fear losing institutions like this is really a decline in the culture of Newtown.

27. Saray have provided me with dinner for the past year and a half, and have had amazing service the entire time. The night it closed at midnight I had finished work at 1am leaving me with only oportos as my option. As we all know, you don't get oportos if saray is open because Saray is the bomb. Please allow me to eat there after work or I'll get seriously sad and have to boycott oportos. Plus I'll get stupid fat if I'm forced to eat oportos. Give the people what they want, look after your drunken locals leading to reduced violence, and give the staff back their jobs. Hammering local business helps no one and it was a really bad move in the first place. I love you Saray!!!

28. there should be 2-3 food places open at least as late for each and every late opening bar. the worst thing for an area with late bars is not having food around.
    saray has great food with very friendly staff and i wholeheartedly support this application. Inner west council should encourage more in the area to do so in order to encourage a more varied nightlife.

29. This is an excellent family run business that has served the local community for many years. I fully support their application for extended trading hours. I have lived in and around the inner west for over 21 years and have often frequented Saray and have always had very good experience.

    Working on shift work it is always been great to have the opportunity to grab food at a late hour. The family have always served food with a friendly and professional manner.

    Great family, good food. They should definitely be allowed to trade late.

30. As a resident of the area and a customer of the business for several years, I wholeheartedly support the extension of business hours for Saray. They provide a much needed sanctuary for what's left of sydneys late night revellers and they serve an important function in Sydney unlike Mike Baird.

31. I support this application. I live nearby and Saray's has always been a much loved institution serving lovely food in a welcoming environment. Having them open after midnight improves utility and safety for people in the area.

    Saray is an institution. It's a place that I have frequented over the years for quality late night food, interactions with friendly staff and a spot to meet up with friends. This neighborhood has changed enough over the last couple of years, how about we keep some aspects as they should be?

34. As a resident of Enmore I fully support Saray's request for extended business hours. This restaurant is part of the community, and access to late night food is 100% required in the Newtown area.

35. As a Newtown resident it's important that we have local, late night food options.

    Whether I've been going out or simply working late, the having a close and affordable takeaway option other than Tempe or Stanmore Maccas is a good thing!

    There are many benefits to having late night food retailers on King St and Enmore road:
    * Provides income for local businesses
    * Provides a variety of food options for local residents
    * Provides much needed food to balance out the alcohol consumed by people in the area on weekends
    * Generates foot traffic which minimises anti social behaviour and ensures there is a greater chance of an observer seeing any crime taking place / people being less likely to be on their own late at night due to the trade generated by late night food businesses

37. As a local resident I fully support this application. It is important to have safe, friendly places to congregate and eat in the later hours, especially for shift workers.

38. I miss having my after work kebab! It's important to have food options when you are drinking and it's late. Let saray stay open
