I'm all for development (can we wait 12 months) but five new buildings with 273 apartments means those apartments bring vehicles, the waterfront already lacks parking with idiots parking on road ways. Instead of lining pockets how about we consider the existing residents who have to deal with the lack of forward thinking and improve the public parking available. This will also benefit the small businesses in the piazza as many consumers are forced away due to lack of parking options.
Again, I'm for development but let's rethink the future.

There is not enough infrastructure for a building of this height and amount of apartments at this end of Wentworth Point. Bennelong parkway over the past 7 years has lost parking on one side of the road and more recently lost additional parking, being replaced with a bus stop, that remains unused by residents. Due to lack of parking options within the waterfront we have stopped visiting local restaurants for takeaways and have instead used Newington and North Strathfield where there is plenty of parking options to be able to run in and pick up food. As more young families are forced to live in apartments due to rising housing costs, the lack of Childcare or schools in walking distance means families need two cars. Exisiting residents needs, need to be considered as access to amenities is becoming more difficult to access due to the influx of new residents.

No parking and not enough infrastructure such as public transportation, i dont think this area can support that amount of apartments, please consider exisiting residents needs.

Wentworth Point needs a dedicated parking lot with such an increase in new residential apartments. I have many friends living there and it's a hassle to find parking when we visit there. On one occasion we were driving around for half an hour before finding a spot at a walk of 15 mins.
Instead of adding new residences, the parking plight of existing residences needs to addressed first. Newer appts should have more options of two car spaces and also more visitor parking so street parking is more accessible for people visiting the restaurants in the area.

Luck of infrastructure in the area to support even existing population seems to be obvious. I suggest making that a condition of the permit for the new development to build an additional parking and widen the streets and put development application on hold until this part is clearly included.
Number of additional parking spots and streets capacity shall be evaluated not only on the basis of existing or future residents numbers but also consider increase in number of visitors to the area stimulated by friends visiting, usage of restarants, parks and entertainment etc. I don’t think that introduction of parking meters or any other short time parking measures is an adequate approach as most of the residents already luck long term/overnight parking and most of the visitors are in the area for at least half a day.
Yes, this will drive cost of the development upward and as a result will be reflected in the price. Wentworth Point is a premium area hence a premium price is expected and seems not to be an issue with a current sale clearance rate.
    Regards
    Dmitri

There is a lack of infrastructure to meet the current demands. More apartments will make parking and driving harder than it already is. The new bridge has improved the public transport greatly and that was a good initiative, but not everyone relies on public transport, builders etc. Additional parking is a must as well as widening roads and installing much needed roundabouts along Benelong parkway. These are items that should be considered prior to any further developments going ahead. There are many blind spots on Benelong Parkway as well as a one way footpath on the Benelong parkway bridge which is opposite to the residential. There have been injuries, accidents and a death on this road not so long ago. Peoples lives should be a priority before development.

I am a resident living in the apartment adjacent to the proposed development. As clearly noted above there is insufficient parking and infrastructure presently to support more people living in the area. In the last few months our household has paid over $500 in parking fines as there is nowhere else to park overnight except for the 4p public parking.

The developers bribed council & resident support with the bridge which benefits few. The One developers are now using this precedent in height allowance to get their building heightened to 25-30 stories! They aren't putting anything back into the community. There is not enough local infrastructure for the additional units applied for this building. It is inadequate as it stands. Public transport is a disgrace. The bridge benefits few - the time to get to schools and work is unreasonable and there is still not a direct bus to Strathfield despite years of lobbying. Council has allowed a maximum number of car spaces in buildings which is out of touch with reality. Olympic Park is getting no benefits from the rates we pay and has had no increase to funding despite the massive increase in population in the area and strain on facilities. Promising a library was a joke. The area needs proper infrastructure. This many units needs a High school and a primary school at this rate and the not so local schools are already flooded and unsupported. No I do not approve this application.

There are already too many apartments in Wentworth Point. Why do we need another 273? More rate payers, is that it? The traffic and parking is already a nightmare. For every one bedroom apartment with two inhabitants there will be two cars and only one parking space which will make the streets even worse. Council you are very greedy. Only see dollar signs. Quality of life will sink in this area with another 273 apartments on top of the thousands of others going up. Build some shops, a school, better infrastructure but no more apartments. You're ruining this area with every approval you pass. Wake up.
