I strongly object to this development on the grounds that it will lead to a further deterioration in the amenity of the suburb. Recent over development in Meadowbank has led to gridlock due to increases in traffic, parking is beyond capacity and leading to dangerous driving conditions due to over parking on the streets, there have been increases in crime, building noise continues unabated all day from multiple sites and trains are already full at peak time. The quality of developments has also greatly dropped in comparison to the original shephards bay develpoment. All this is with less then half of the eventual development completed across the suburb.

Further to this, I do not see how the council can approve any development of this scale when there is still currently also an open development approval with the potential to greatly increase the density of the suburb with the major planning board. The council is against this development, but the council has no control over the eventual outcome, It would appear to be inconsistent to approve other large developments in parallel.

Further to this there had not been a holistic and integrated assessment of the impact of all developments approved, let alone one that includes the most recent request for a 24 story+ tower in meadowbank, 60 stories in Rhodes and further development of Wentworth point, Epping and North Ryde. Until there is clarity on these development there should be a moratorium on further approvals. The Council simply cannot make fact based decisions on development impacts from any single development at this point in time.

I agree infrastructure is lacking, traffic is a joke.

I agree totally. This has got to stop. We are inundated with buildings which potentially will lead to an oversupply. Furthmore i am concerned by the fact that the street i live on has a heritage listed house, the house next to it is being bulldozed as i write. And there doesnot seem to be a DA in place. What is going on??
