Just how many more apartments do these greedy developers want to build? It's already looking like the Gold Coast down at Summer Hill and Lewisham. Traffic will be a disaster once that ugly monstrosity being built by Meriton is finished, not to mention the Mill site.

For once, can council actually consider the local residents, the LEP, the extra traffic, the total lack of any more open space or schools to provide for these thousands upon thousands of extra residents that are being allowed into the local area and not give in to greed? Say no and save some local jobs.

Someone is now taking the mickey. Does anyone in their right mind think that this little piece of turf can take all of this overdevelopment with no additional infrastructure, no extra schools, day care, medical, public transport? The traffic through the Railway Parade/Old Canterbury Rd is already a carpark from early in the mornings, the light rail is already overcrowded and at capacity at peak times.

The traffic report provided as part of the DA is a joke. "It is apparent that the traffic generation of the proposed development will not result in any unsatisfactory traffic implications." How much were they paid to produce that report? With parking for 84 vehicles and taking the other developments in that immediate area (approx 1000 units) this cannot be true. The approach and departure routes has the traffic doing rat runs in and out of other local streets like Victoria St, Toothill St. And the right hand turning bay into MacGill St coming from Parramatta Rd direction - I hope that RMS have already determined that Old Canterbury Rd in and around this new development needs to a clearway 24/7.

Its going to be an absolute cluster!!!

    Exactly what ST articulated !!!!

I object to this planning application. This area is already over-developed. There is not enough infrastructure to cope. The proposed buildings are far too big for a low rise area.
This will destroy Lewisham as a livable suburb.

    Absolutely, ST!
This is a nightmare. What's happening to our beloved city and suburbs? Do we have no right to say we live here cause we love it- as is?
Out of interest, do the developers and council/government decision makers live in any of these Urbanly Renewed streets?
