Boroondara residents needs to know more detail about the type of massage centre which is proposed.

I'm sure the Boroondara City Council will ensure that this proposal is considered carefully guaranteeing a happy ending for all involved.

Indeed, what sort of massage centre. ?
Will it be run by physiotherapists?

It is obvious that the number of 'massage' clinics opening in Boroondara on shopping strips far outweighs the actual market for people seeking therapeutic massage.

These massage clinics are open till late at night with no appointment necessary. Housewives do not go to seedy looking shops with tacky neon lights at shopping strips for a massage at night. Why are they given permits till 9pm?

Other shopkeepers know what is happening.

The Boroondara Council needs to get tough, considering if the permit applicant is offering a legitimate service or whether they are also providing sexual services without a license.

The easiest way to stop any an illegitimate massage service opening is to keep the hours of operation from 9-6pm only. It will not be as lucrative for so called 'entrepreneurs' then, but would be perfectly acceptable hours for a legitimate operator.
