This is an unacceptable development in a highly residential area, including families with young children. There is already a karaoke bar next door that creates loud noise late at night and early morning as patrons leave premises. Another nightclub will only exacerbate this problem.

Not a fan of this at all. Can't see why the council would consider establishing a new nightclub area in the city. Especially in this location which is completely surrounded by residential buildings. Given all the violence and arrests that clubs attract in other parts of town, this would make me extremely uneasy about the safety of my family leaving the home after hours.

This quadrant of the Hoddle Grid is an established residential area. An approval for such a club would demonstrate a total lack of disregard by council for residents of this area.

The proposal is certainly not welcomed by myself or neighbours.

This proposed development is not consistent with the use of this area for predominantly residential purposes. This type of use should be confined to those areas of the city that already have substantial noise disturbance and late night pedestrian traffic. The world's most livable city needs segregated residential zones so the amenity of the city is preserved for both those that live in the city and those that come to the city for entertainment purposes. The mixing for these zones does not constitute good planning to maintain the city's amenity for all users.

This is an appalling proposal! The proposed location is surrounded by residential developments making it the most ridiculous place to have a night club. K Box, which is next door to this location, is already causing enough grief for the surrounding residents. I always feel uncomfortable and unsafe going home on a Thursday, Friday and Saturday night due to the number of loud obnoxious drunks going up and down La Trobe Street to and from K Box, and the smokers gathered outside my lobby. And I doubt the clubbers would want to line up outside a residential area that is so well lit with people going home with groceries staring at them. This proposal should definitely be rejected to sustain the quality of living of the 500+ residents living literally next door to this location.
