A building of this size is completely out of character with the streetscape of Allambee Avenue, and the amount of extra traffic this development will cause in a suburban residential street is beyond comprehension. The immediate neighbours must be horrified at the prospect of overlooking and the diminished enjoyment of their properties should this development be approved.

There is no mention of on-site car parking proposals but this street cannot tolerate any increase in on-street parking.

Please, do not even contemplate approving this application.

    Crazy, absolutely crazy

Please leave this beautiful area alone

What are you doing to earth by over growth, no real infrastructure

    When did money dictate sensibility!!!

This is clearly inappropriate development and not in keeping with the character of the surrounding area. Shadowing of surrounding buildings will be unacceptable as will be the traffic overhead facing into such a small street. This development adds nothing to the area favours only the owners and developers and should be rejected.

This development is so out of character for a quiet residential street. Over shadowing of the surrounding houses is unacceptable to local residents, not to mention devaluing their properties. The proposed development adds nothing to the area but visual bulk to the adjoining single storey family homes. This development should be rejected.

This is a completely inappropriate development for the street and it's character. Why is a three storey, high density living being proposed in a predominantly single or double storey area? This represents a very disturbing pattern of behaviour in this area. Developers pouncing on pockets of land and putting forward proposals that only meet their demands, with no consideration to the character and greening of the suburb. Do not approve this proposal.

Oh dear, another inappropriate overdevelopment of a site in our city. it is happening everywhere. Melbourne is changing from a lovely leafy garden city into a concrete jungle!
The trees and shrubs in the gardens are all uprooted and the temperature rises because of the loss of shade.

Re: OBJECTION TO 35 ALLAMBEE AVE, CAMBERWELL.

Can the Council advise what they propose to do with the infrastructure by introducing such a large development. What plans are in place to cope with the increase in the population into this street? Demands on Traffic management, (no reduced parking on site), Can the existing kindergartens, schools cope with additional population being introduced into the area? What trees are going to be planted? NO REDUCTION IN PARKING. This street is already under stress with over-parking. 2-off street carparking spots per unit minimum PLUS 1 visitor car parking place per unit. This is a minimum.
Why are only "2 bedroom" apartments being allowed? This doesn't make sense. If we are to allow mixed integration into the community we need to have a mixture of housing for families, singles, elderly etc. Clearly the developments around Boroondara are mainly targeted at 'singles - 2bedroom'.
