Hi, I am concerned with the building envelope exceeding the current building envelope and blocking out the sliver of water views I have from my unit. If it is even slightly taller (500mm) it will block that little bit of water views which bring me so much joy. I appreciate your consideration when approving this DA application. Thank you and regards, Ricardo Velez Calvo

    Dear City of Sydney,

I am the owner of an apartment in Wardleigh at 52-54 Kings Cross Rd, Rushcutters Bay. The building at 51-57 Bayswater Road is next to Wardleigh and any building work to be carried will impact all owners and residents in the following ways:
    1. Noise and disruption - OUTCOME: Unpleasant living conditions for residents for the duration of the build (expect 2 long years of 6 days per week construction).
    2. Impact to Rental Income: OUTCOME: While there is a rental shortage, being able to rent apartments in Wardleigh at a premium while there is significant noise and construction will be highly unlikely.
    3. Rectification Works: RISK: potential damage to Wardleigh particularly the retaining walls and areas that had been slated for improvement.
    4. Loss of sunlight and impacted outlook: RISK - particularly for those apartments directly facing the building, including loss of sunlight, reduced depth of outlook and overall aesthetics are likely to be considerable.
I would appreciate you taking my concerns into consideration when reviewing this DA application.
    Regards
    Kate Neuss

My name is Christian Mery-Reynolds and I am one of the residents of 51-57 Bayswater road, Rushcutters Bay. I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the proposed property development plan in our community and its potential effects on residents, particularly during this ongoing housing crisis. As a long-standing member of this community, I have witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by residents in finding affordable housing. The current housing crisis has already placed immense pressure on individuals and families, forcing many to move away from the area. In such a critical time, it is crucial that we prioritize the well-being and stability of our community members. The proposed property development plan, as it stands, raises significant concerns regarding its impact on the affordability and availability of housing in our area.
By potentially displacing current residents and eventually driving up property values beyond sustainable levels, this development risks exacerbating the housing crisis rather than alleviating it. Moreover, the proposed development fails to adequately address the infrastructure and public service needs of our community.
I urge you to reconsider this development plan in light of its negative consequences on our community. Instead, I encourage a more comprehensive approach that prioritizes affordable housing initiatives around the area due the current situation with developments.
Furthermore, I believe the current building perhaps needs a refreshment and with that will be functional for another couple of decades or more. I appreciate your attention to this matter and trust that you will carefully consider the concerns raised by myself and other concerned residents. Thank you for your time and consideration.

    Sincerely,

    Christian A. Mery-Reynolds.
