Please stop the building of ghettos in the area, The crime rate is already getting out of control. Try reading the local community pages on Facebook complaining about noise and crime in the area.

Please don’t add further to the congestion that is already impacting quality of life for existing residents.
I object to any land clearing and or high density development including town houses units etc

Please , no more high density development , and townhouses in Collingwood Park, the traffic and crime has increased to a worrying level. The new proposed townhouse development on Collingwood Drive is going to increase the risks to children in this area by way of heavier vehicle traffic., Collingwood Drive is used as a race track now and the amount of screeching brakes as they zoom down the hill to the crossing is increasing. I am concerned for the safety of all the children, as well as the elderly who cross here daily. I don't believe there is adequate amenities, employment or infrastructure to support more and more townhouse complexes. It is also sad to see so much land clearing and no trees replaced when these complexes are built.

I strongly oppose the applications for more high density development and town housing in Collingwood park. It will increase crime, traffic issues and quality of life for currents residents and for our children. Please read through our community pages and see that our whole community is against this.

Due to too many small houses and town houses - as council has started permitting 320sqm blocks as well-the traffic density has enormously increased. The streets are packed up with cars parked on streets, bumper to bumper and also there is more clearing happening. Council should work towards the betterment of the area neither thus focus on council fees- the more the houses, the more would be the money to council. This area has started looking like a chook pen- parks are getting smaller, streets are getting narrower. Council is requested to take actions for the betterment of the area so that in future, the value of the area would be increased because of big lots and peaceful and environment.

I object to the extra town houses on this site. The traffic on the morning commute is already very heavy, making it very difficult to exit the suburb during rush hour and make it to work on time. The area is so desperate for more parks and bike ways/skate parks for the children and young people and general green areas for recreation for all ages.

  7. Alex De Santis commented

Traffic congestion is a huge issue already. Town houses bring undesirable people to the area that doesn't have a police station.

Stop allowing the building of more ghetto's. The crime rate is already out of control. Listen to the people look on the local Facebook pages noise complaints houses are too close together.

This should be denied. 92 town houses is not an amendment it is a new request.

The developer is trying to hard to hide this request from the public in the area by making an amendment (which does not require a consultation process).

This is the same tactic that was discussed and was not supported by the current councilors for Division 3 at a public meeting a few months ago. If this is approved then unfortunately this will prove that the current sitting council no longer represents it's constituents.

Traffic congestion is already an issue in the area and nothing is being done to assist with the flow of additional cars/traffic.
Cluster housing increases agitation in a neighborhood. The small 320 to 450 size blocks with not recreational areas, no infrastructure taking into consideration is a genuine concern. Local schools are stretched to capacity. Doctors and hospitals are at critical levels. Police are working hard on the increased crime rates in the area already and this will add to the increased problems.

We already have increased traffic and noise in the area this will make it far worse with limited infrastructure

  13. Natalie Thorpe commented

The traffic congestion in this area is already extreme. There is not the infrastructure to develop 92 townhouses. Kruger state school is at capacity as are all local schools. The two councillors said no more high density townhouses and responsible development. If this goes ahead it will show those were just words. I think the council has destroyed this area enough.

  14. Penelope Carr commented

For a development of this number of town houses, to be built in this area, is sheer madness. The infrastructure of roads is struggling now..There are no plans for upgrading or widening Collingwood Drive, or improving access points of new estate roads onto Collingwood Drive or the feeder roads. Can council please listen to residents about their concerns for our suburb and not try and sneak approval for this in, when not approved or mentioned in original development plan.

  15. David Richard Harris commented

Council. You can see the amount of objections Do something about it. Stop ignoring residents. You must rearrange the order for development. What's the use to object when no objections are checked. These are all Code Assessable so no further objection is considered. Its a shame that objectors don't realise this and have a catharsis to no avail.
