I am against any new buildings that go above the current allowed height limit. The area will lose it's village feeling which it is famous for and will then allow other applications to be submitted and essentially make the area another Broadbeach/Palm Beach

High rise developments have to stop in these types of area so they can keep they charm and attraction and offer something different to the surrounding areas.

The ongoing issue with increased traffic and parking issues will also make it dangerous for families and children when they are in the area and walking to the beach and ammentities.

The area needs amenities and facilities that are in keeping with the 21st century. The infrastructure needs to be in place to accommodate any increase in population and traffic requirements. The village, relaxed and holiday vibe of the area will be maintained if the design proposed by developer (building) and council (streetscape/gardens) is adhered too.

High Rise development in this area would spoil something that is rare in this part of the coast - “village atmosphere”. I am also against development that goes above and beyond the current limits. Low rise development in this area would be more appealing. There is Surfers/Broadbeach and now Palm Beach for high rise. Wish concentration on infrastructure was first and foremost before our strip was built high rise.

There is no such thing as a town plan building heights or density are all thrown away 3 years ago. There used to be a stringent hard to get 50% uplift really rare to obtain now no questions asked just include it in the original application, what a joke. It’s all about justifying a light rail in density i lived in the usa for many years and please don’t let our miami resemble miami Florida once done cannot be unravelled

Nobbys area has a very unique character which adds a lot of value to the Gold Coast as a city. Surely there must be some areas to be retained with a 3 storey height limit? This area should be the first to be protected. This development application is not within the character of the area and will be detrimental to the city as a whole and undermine the objectives of the city plan. I wholly object to this development application. Please refuse.

Unfortunately, Nobby Beach precinct has a bleak future with the pending doom of the removal of parking for the proposed light rail (that takes 40% of the road and has a pathetic usage of 1.5% of that space). The removal of the majority of parking will not, in my opinion be replaced by Nth/Sth tram travelers or the quaintly named "Multi-Mode" (i.e. get off the bus here because it is tram territory) transport. Replacement of car parking facilities is essential and I see the only way to save the Nobby Beach precinct is to reject the tram extension. Other than that, this type of redevelopment is unfortunately inevitable.

Hi neighbours. I share the same concerns as others posting here. Please LODGE YOUR CONCERNS DIRECT TO GCCC at gchaveyoursay.com.au/nfbb. Light rail from Broadbeach to Burleigh will destroy the local community. It destroys everything it touches. It kills the local economy and businesses. It kills the environment. It kills trafficability. It kills communality. It kills green space. Please speak up (direct to GCCC) to stop light rail and stop overdevelopment and destruction in its wake.
