Mixed Residential & Commercial Premises 7 Storeys - No Way!!!
A tall, narrow "highrise" will ruin the village of Ettalong Beach. I am shocked to learn of the scope and size of this possible development. Is there a planning standard to protect our community from unreasonable commercial development?

    Due process needed here:
    Where is the DA number?
    Where are the documents?
7 storeys is 2 storeys over the limit for this area and no indication at all has been given as to the FSR. Is this part of the hotel that has been approved for 216 Memorial? The hotel was approved at 5 storeys only and to be a hotel not residential flats!!

A 7 storey development on this site would totally destroy any pretension of Ettalong’s classification of a “village”!
Hopefully the planning department will not pass this development application as it can be in no-way within the current guidelines.
I suggest council also view how quickly (or not) the shops at the current Atlantis buildings have been occupied! 1 tiny premise.

I am of the understanding the hotel at 216 Memorial Ave was approved and then the approval was canceled due to historic building I could be wrong.
7 story units and commercial shops this could not possibly be approved. We still have vacant shops, multiple blocks of units going up in this area. I just can not not believe what is being approved in this area. Let’s not forget the Abbatoir application in Barrenjoey Road residential area. Who approves these projects ? They obviously do not live in this area. This just money money money talking. No thought at all no research at all just money. Absolutely shocking. Show the DAs applications and all paperwork. Flabbergasted just flabbergasted.

The commercial area in centre of Ettslong is zoned for highrise max 7 storeys. Developer are allowed to build to this height. see masterplan for Ettalong
