The stench coming from Candy Soil or Eco Growth area near round about at Tivoli down from Sapars is disgusting it has now become unbearable at times to sit on the verandah because of the smell. Its hard to describe the smells that come from there. Sometimes it smells like dead animal and sometimes its a chemical or fertilizer smell. Its so strong and its happening more frequently now. This should not be allowed in a residential area. I am quite far up the road from that area and its a very strong smell so I dont know how the people who live closer to it manage to handle this dreadful smell all the time.

Traffic congestion on Mt Crosby Road and both off ramps east and west bound of Warrego Highway is a tragedy waiting to happen. Why allow further industrial development to be allowed at the Beaumont's site. More trucks will mean even more congestion. This should not be allowed to be approved. Not to mention the dust, noise and odour pollution the neighbouring suburbs and residents have to endure on a daily basis. It is time the council thought about the people who live in this area especially with the residential growth occuring

So tonight is by far the worst odour in a while... this has been going 9n for months now.
It is almost vomit worthy right through my house tonight...not just outside anymore.
This is disgusting, this cannot go on
The entire neighbourhood is sick of this.

These businesses have no regard for the surrounding community. It's not only the dust (which is not dust but fertilizer also) that is blown into our houses is disgusting. The smell is horrible. But the amount of dirt and dust by all the waste dumping that has already occurred with out approval is a massive kick in the teeth for the community. The council needs to act on such behaviour. I vote a big NO to this proposal, but as I said it's already happening. Poor form by the council

The ongoing foul stench that comes from the businesses at the round-a-bout just down from Sapar is horrible most evenings.
The smells vary from decaying carcass/blood to chemical fertiliser. Some nights it's an annoying scent through the house, other nights it's like some dumped a truck load of blood and bone fertiliser on my back patio.
Adding a waste transfer station will only make the issue worse.
It should also be noted that the roads in this area aren't coping with the traffic due to the residential increase, and lack of infrastructure to support it. Adding more industrial demands to a now majority residential area will only increase the traffic demands on the infrastructure as well as decrease the residential liveability of the area.

Clearly no council members live in the area otherwise I'm certain action would have already been taken. It's at the point where our property is almost un livable. If we hang washing outside it takes on the foul smells. Our children can't go out to play because the smells make us all nauseous. We are becoming prisoners in our own home, having to stay inside with doors and Windows shut as outside becomes more toxic each week. Allowing this business to add more waste storing capabilities will be detrimental to the community. Allowing this development will be opening the floodgates for a class action against council.

The smells already in the area has made us consider relocating from Ipswich back in to Brisbane, where our concerns were listened to and actioned by Council; which to date with Candy Soils has not been our experience here. Should this go ahead, I believe it would make the close by residential area unliveable and we would need to assess our recourse actions. It is not logical to allow large residential areas to be so close to industrial areas that create such environmental and odour pollution.

I have been complaining about the smell from Candy Soils at Tivoli for many years now.
It is so bad that we have to close up our house when the wind blows our way.
I have spoken to our local Councillors, and have been that they have considered changes to the law, but that could take twelve months.

My house backs onto the Warrego highway. For years I have put in numerous complaints about the smell we have to deal with. It is putrid and consumes the whole house making up unbearable. Once again today the smell is there blown across the highway made stronger with the wind.

The stink is disgusting. This should be denied. Stop being greedy and think of your rate payers that have to put up with this stinky company.
