Seems great. Have long wanted a proper produce market around this neck of the woods!
My only concern would be that cars around the foreshore seem to already be going too fast to be able to stop for ducks crossing. I believe there have been a number of reports to council about this recently, I personally wrote regarding the near invisibility of the 'Ducks Crossing' sign. This gets me to think that perhaps a requirement that the speed limit on the Esplanade side be dropped to 30 between Milford and Hume during market hours, until such time as it can be ascertained whether the market causes a marked increas in traffic on the foreshore. One may also wish to consider a temporary speed reduction in Lincoln street by moving the 40kph sign from the upper side of the intersection of Lincoln and Hume to before the activities centre on market days.

I totally support this application and hope it is approved, as it will be a useful amenity to have a local market in Lindisfarne.

A more definitive list of the proposed market stalls should be made available. Will it include take away food and coffee and if so what impact may this have on established businesses that have already been impacted through COVID 19. If food/drinks are to be sold and potentially impacted businesses support this proposal then OK.
As highlighted by Peter Lawler a potential increase in traffic may add to parking and speeding problems; this needs careful consideration and hopefully the applicant has done enough research that shows the need and support for a local market in Lindisfarne.

What a great idea, would love be a part of the market

I believe this is a craft market. Increased traffic will be an issue as it is a very busy market. Parking may also be an issue.

i went along today and it was great, so glad to have close to home. Covid safe practices in place. not overcrowded.
parking was fine in the carpark and not really too much traffic really in comparison to the normal Saturday on Lincoln St. the bottleneck that is Franklin St - Woollies traffic slows everything down in that block
