I feel there are too many townhouse developments in this area. I would like to see the council consider this as actual housing blocks rather than townhouses please.

It is important to consider the impact of townhouse developments in this and surrounding areas. Take a look at the area of townhouse developments on Bunya Rd at Everton Hills. They are an eyesore. In comparison the housing lots that are being sold and developed near Graham Rd and Beckett and beyond are what we need to see happening in our suburbs. There are too many townhouses already. Not to mention the impact on the environment of all the trees that were cut down to make way for this development. If the continued push for townhouses continues, where are young people going to be able to start families and build communities like so many of the people of Bridgeman Downs and McDowall have had the opportunity to do for years. Please don’t do this!

I would like to see Council think about the impact so many town houses together will impact on other local residents with regards to noise, traffic and reduction of green spaces. The sense of community is also often lost as townhouses often provide shorter term accommodation and do not allow for the community links to develop.

I think the council should consider the sense of community we have developed in this area. I walk my dog around these streets, as a young girl I feel safe knowing my neighbours and being able to have space to walk freely around the neighbourhood. When multiple town houses are built that sense of community and safety is lost. The small and already busy streets in this area will get more busy and cramped. Young children and high school kids are always walking home from the bus stop in this area and playing in the streets after school or on weekends, I am afraid with more traffic that this will attract more safety issues for these kids and also possibly the increase of disturbance to neighbours.

Enough townhouses. The area has gone from a beautiful housing area to over developed townhouse eyesore. Bush land is disappearing at an alarming rate. Keep our area beautiful. Low set houses can be planted and hidden. Townhouses can’t. Look at the eyesore in the corner of trouts and Hamilton road. Please stop these developments

No to these own house developments in residential areas. Green space is disappearing because of these approvals. There just maybe some justification in areas near major shopping centres and existing bus and train stations but not in suburbia.
Council will realise within ten years time that they’re creating the ghettos of the future.

Definitely too many town houses in our area. Built so close together with no yards or open spaces. This type of development should not be allowed. This is not the way we want Brisbane suburbs to look. Only have to look at those in Francis Rd Everton Hills. Eyesore! Too much high density development in these suburbs will only cause problems in the future. We want more green space for both people and wild life. Where will all these residents park also no space for second car or visitors. Congestion on all adjoining roads. If units or townhouses need to be built in the suburbs keep them in a hub around shops transport & other facilities etc.

McDowall does not need any more townhouse developments.
The local roads cannot take any more traffic let alone the huge amount developments like this bring. Hamilton and Rode Rd's are completely congested in morning and afternoon peaks.
The local public school is above 100% as well.
The premise that it is making housing more affordable is rubbish. More family sized 'houses' in a family friendly suburb is the best way to ease housing prices. You can even make them ridiculously small blocks, there is still plenty of money to be made for the developers and the council. Which we all know is the main motivation for townhouses like these in McDowall.
