My concern is regarding the gradual loss of large trees in the Doncaster/east area and surrounds, the ever increasing impact on rising urban environmental temperatures and the loss of amenity and lifestyle associated with a green streetscape. Is there a compelling reason for the tree to be removed? Could this reason be provided please?

We live across the street from the subject site at 7 Aminga Avenue Doncaster East. We have been wanting this tree gone for a long time. It is a large ugly pine tree blocking all the sun from our house all year round. My wife has been suffering from Vitamin D deficiency for years and this tree has made her situation worse; we spoke to the owners (that the tree goes over their house and is a serious safety concern for them being less than 5m from the house by the way) and got referral from the GP and submitted to the council back in July 2020.
The pine corns drop all the time and are serious treat to our kids. I know the area has pine trees but they don’t belong to here. They are ugly, needles drop, they won’t let anything grow under them! I work in environmentally sustainable design and energy efficiency and a big supporter of environment and trees, I planted gumtrees on my nature strip and council does not like it! I don’t understand what the council and people like about these ugly pine trees. They should be all cut down and replaced with native trees.
The owner was happy to replace this with a native tree and it is in the application.
