There is no good reason to pass this application. This is a car wash facility. It already offers a limited cafe outlet....coffee and snacks while your car is washed which is acceptable. But to offer an alcohol service at a car wash facility is irresponsible! On no level is this a good idea! I hope City of Ryde Council can see it should decline this application.

I think a liquor licence is inappropriate for a car wash. It already provides food and beverages for customers.

This is a great idea at a challenging time for business and improves the utility of the property with an additional after hours use. Extended use also fits in with the idea of Sydney becoming a 24x7 city. Let's support our local businesses because they also provide local employment.

I note that previous commenters were not specific about how the change would affect them. The after-hours takeaway pizza restaurant just down the road is extremely popular and has significantly improved the atmosphere of Gladesville.

Offering alcohol at a premises who’s prime (or perhaps only) purpose is the washing of cars, where customers would be expected to drive their clean car away after consuming said beverages is utterly irresponsible and promotes drink driving. This liquor licence should not be granted.

Agree with Andrew Franz. There is no reason to decline this, and as long as they are abiding by the rules in terms of serving alcohol which I am sure they will, I see no issue here.
