The building will be directly behind my home. It is too large and high.
Most of the surrounding homes are single story or a reasonable two story.
A third story will let people look into my and surrounding gardens/ homes and invade my privacy and ability to enjoy my home and background .

The two story garage is not appropriate. It will be a huge box building only a few meters away from my home and I will have to look at it every day.
The plans show windows in the studio overlooking the laneway and my backyard. Will these be frosted? Again, an invasion of my privacy.

The proposal doesnt fit into the look of the neighbourhood homes.

A two storey dwelling with a third floor roof top entertainment area is inappropriate for the area, given the nature of the current street scape - single story workers cottages and California bungalows. It will be eyesore for residents living behind it, in Albert street. A huge three story structure soaring above existing homes.

The third floor will allow anyone to have a clear view into backyards alongside the building and behind it.

The second story over the garage will be monolith that will overshadow back gardens.

Three storeys does seem quite excessive for neighbouring residents. Bulk at the rear also seems like an eyesore. Modern design at front I think is interesting considering not a heritage overlay- it’s more the overlooking and overshadowing issues.

I am not concerned with the appearance of the development, my biggest concern is privacy. Does the proposed development respect the privacy of the surrounding properties, specifically those that are on Albert Street whose rear yards will be in the line of sight. If so, how is this guaranteed?
