The tree located at the front left side of the property is too close to the property and is causing obstruction at the location of the electrical underground power feed from the street mains to the dwelling. The tree is too close to the property and branches are overhanging the roof and gutter which limbs a bushfire safety concern.

Sadly houses, humans & some trees are not compatible. If only the removal of a Tree could be replaced with a more suitable one. Loss of Wildlife habitat can be seen all around the Sutherland Shire. We are slowly going to end up like Hurstville, Kogarah etc. Ugly huge Apartments everywhere. Sadly Sutherland Council only sees Rates $$$$ not Wildlife & the need for leaving Bushland available for them to survive in the Shire!

Totally agree. In our street in Kareela we have lost over 30 trees. Council did NOTHING

Not happy with Council's Performance ? We all have the opportunity to change the Council, when we Vote.
Sydney Olympic's' 2000 - the Population of Australia was 19 million.
Australia's Population is now 26 million.
We don't need more people in our Country.
The large cities are spreading into Bushland & ALL Councils welcome Developers with open arms & our Wildlife is disappearing rapidly. Councils are responsible for keeping their areas tidy & clean, this includes Bushland (not National Parks)

I've been working from home since early March due to covid. In that time, I cannot recall a day in which I didn't hear the chainsaws and the chippers at work as another tree comes down and the canopy, the shade and the wildlife habitat gets smaller and smaller. I can now see many houses across the valley that I could never see before. Whilst I admire council's tree planting program, it will never keep up with this loss of mature trees. I believe removal permits should be the exception and based only on council-assessed real threat or poor tree health - and not on the guidance of a tree removal company pitching for work. Rather, I'd like to see council working with property owners to educate on tree management and the benefit of a healthy tree canopy.
