This is an old photo of 63 French St, and so is misleading. There is now what looks to be a very newly finished house at 63 French St. Given this, one wonders why the property owner did not seek permission for the alfresco deck when seeking building approval for the house. One should also expect that a builder should build to the plans approved by council, and not construct a deck before permission has been granted. I hope that all retrospective applications such as this incur a significant fine as a deterrent for building before approval/not sticking to approved plans.
