    Hi ,
Is it possible that this tree be assessed and pruned rather than removed? It is another

mature tree being removed from the area.

Due to the City of Parramatta Council's DA tracker undergoing maintenance I am unable to see the details of this TA and why the tree is for removal. However, I object to the removal of this tree as it adds to the character of the suburb, provides cooling for the area and supports wildlife.
The NSW Government Draft Greener Spaces Design Guide stipulates that Low Density Residential is to provide a greater than 40% tree canopy by 2056. If this tree is removed it will not be replaced. This, along with 100s of other trees removed from Epping, will mean that it will be impossible to achieve a 40% tree canopy. The suburb will be hot, undesirable, unliveable, unsustainable and people will die from the extreme heat. Property values will plummet. This is contrary to the goals of the Greater Sydney Commission district plans. The Council has a responsibility to protect and preserve our trees and vegetation. Please protect this tree.
