Another boarding house in Kingswood also located at a busy intersection. The total boarding houses in Kingswood must be heading toward 30. How many Duplex or Townhouses have been built in Penrith under the State Environmental Planning Policy (Affordable Rental Housing) for families. The council should look at ways to reduce the number of cars parking on-street and the overcrowding of people. Affordable housing may be required in Penrith, but are boarding houses the best options for the families/people waiting for long term accommodation.

Wendy come to my tiny little street!
At the moment they are building a 49 apartment phallic complex, then right across the road from the phallic building is permission for a 14 TOWN HOUSES, not finished yet right on the corner of Markham and Cox the new owners want to build a 12 room boarding house!
OMG PENRITH COUNCIL we don't have the infrastructure in Penrith for all these OVERCROWDED buildings!
    THIS HAS TO STOP NOW!

Omg I’m the owner of 26 Stapley street and you want to build a 12 room boarding house next door on the tiny block are you insane , I’m am disabled and this will affect me as my bedroom is on that side of property there is no parking in the street now it’s the smallest street I’d say in Kingswood it’s used as a thoroughfare from great western hwy to smith st , we have small children going up and down this street many cars have been damaged including my own , so my property will be devalued where’s my compensation why don’t they offer me to buy my house as I Wont be able to live in it I have been here since 1970 , please can someone use there better judgement and not approve this application my house has already been said to suffer the noise and inconvenience I am under anxiety meds now and suffer from eosinophilia Pheumonia

I am the adjoining resident and property owner at 26 Stapley Street. My family built this place in the 1960’s with 4 generations of family raised in this home and many of which continue to reside in the local area.

I implore our elected councillors to complete a site visit on any weekday 3pm to 4pm before any decision is made.

Many of our councillors are as local as the Bella Vista developer who is constructing for profit without consideration of the local community standards and values, this is a family household area with the local public school within 400m.

The shadowing of my property effects my lifestyle, please consider this.

The Social Impact Report is very concerning and misleading. Of concern is the type of people that this development attracts, the lack of supervision, privacy, lack of off-street parking.

The report raised that my property will have noise and privacy issues with 5 rooms overlooking my bedroom, to address this a 1.8m fence, what privacy does this address?

How are noise impacts going to be managed with my adjoining property without an on-site manger, instead of a voluntary caretaker or managing agent, this is poorly considered and with the type of tenancy will become a ‘party house’ and an ongoing policing issue. This is not fair with our ongoing health issues.

Council revised in planning in recent years with medium density housing to the north of Jamison Road, the over development around the hospital which is 700m away has caused hospital staff to park as far as 200m down Stapley Street every day, cars are parked both sides of the street, with traffic struggling to navigate down, many accidents to parked cars are occurring. There are hordes of school children on the adjoining pathways adjacent at risk.

It was very convenient and misleading for this report site visit on Sunday 14 June 2020.

I urge council to reject this ‘party house’ development and start giving consideration to long term residents and our family standards and values.

Council have a good look at all this streets before you accept any more DA’s for useless not needed Boarding Houses . We folk in Edith st Kingswood understand your problems with the Boarding house in Stapley st . We are getting clustered with them also .There is constant signs of rooms to rent on all these horrid places , so Council KINGSWOOD does NOT need any more ..
