Is there any point giving community feedback on this? Given that Council says yes to everything every developer asks for anyway. Just stop ICC . History will remember you.

Material Change of Use - 21 x Dwelling and Auxiliary Unit
Another so called planed development that is reminiscent of the old housing commission estates of the 1950's that created untold problems with housing and acquired a bad name - they were referred to as ghetto's of the 50’s - at least the these had a land area of over 700 sq mtrs with only a modest 3 bedroom home on them and very few cars parked on roads
These proposed Dwelling and Auxiliary Units each have a land area of 400sq mtrs with a 4 bedroom house and a 1 bedroom unit tacked on to it and all crammed on to the 400 sq mtrs
The 4 bedroom house usually has 5 people residing in it and on the 1 bedroom side they close the garage and voila they now have a 2 bedroom unit to rent
MOST OF THESE DWELLING AND ANCILLARY UNITS ARE SOLD TO ABSENTEE LANDLORD'S AS A SO CALLED INVESTMENT
I have a similar estate near our home - its an eyesore / disgrace and of a night with people wander the streets. As most if not all of the property's garage doors closed and as they are mostly used as extra bedrooms then footpaths are flooded with cars - somewhere between 3 to 5 cars per residence –
At night and weekend I have to weave though this forest of metal monstrosities just to drive down the road
so IF 21 of these are approved there will be somewhere between 60 to 100 vehicles parked in front yards / on footpaths and a few on the road - imagine the chaos of a morning when they mostly evacuate the estate via Radcliff Court entering a narrow section of Jones Road on a curve adjacent to the Dip called Jimmy's Gully near the new Bellbird Park High School

STOP THIS HIGH DENSITY DEVELOPMENT..... The constant eroding of bush land, larger blocks and open spaces to in fill for the benefit of investors does nothing to maintain the amenity for the existing folk in Bellbird Park. We feel under constant barrage from developers who seem to be able to do whatever they wish with ICC giving them permission to turn our once leafy suburb into a rental ghetto. I am concerned that this is not sustainable building planning and will just cause problems for us and council in the future. Have some vision and foresight to see what this will bring. No trees, no plants, no wildlife, everyone of these places running air conditioners because they are shoddy builds crammed in with no ventilation or breezeways allowed for. Cars parked everywhere because there is no parking, no public transport to service the extra people so increased traffic on already busy roads.

I DONT THINK ANY OF THE IPSWICH COUNCIL PLANING STAFF CAN READ ENGLISH

    (1) Auxiliary Units are to be provided at appropriate
distributions throughout the City to deliver a diversity
of housing types and avoid over concentrations.

NOTE - SURELY 21 APPLICATIONS FOR 21 LOTS CANT MEET THE CRITERIA OF - AVOID OVER OVER CONCENTRATIONS -
ANY MORE THAN 10 % IS AN OVER CONCENTRATION OF AUXILIARY UNITS THESE ESTATES ARE NOW BEING REFEREED TO AS SUBURBAN RENTAL GHETTO'S IN QUEENSLAND

Jones rd. Those immoral developers have no shame as they destroy Bellbird with the tacit agreement of the council and cowboy planners

Hi Mr Moore. You must have seen my suggestions for all this. just put in 1 or 2 sentences. That takes a couple minutes rather than the resoned objections. These comments mean nothing at all. Those bloody "planners "are above the "Law" anyway. Got a rhyme there. The council have NO power as they work under the State Gov. Mr McCallum our new MP. Just keep lobbying him to lobby the state Gov. Give this bloke a chance, then ask to see him. I will go with you if you like. You never know your luck in the big city.

Obviously no ICC members live in Bellbird Park or otherwise this would not be happening. We bought here 5 years ago because we loved the bush and the large blocks. I went from acreage beside me to 48 houses/auxiliary units in the first 3 months. Now this eyesore at happy jack gully and another one right next door to that. Is the ICC so blind to what they are doing. Does no one there read these comments. Surely they must know that the residents are not happy here. Come on ICC listen to your constituents for a change. I dare you to say no to a developer.

  11. David Harris commented

Craig. I watched and photographed their every step at "Happy Jack" I never saw one of our side there.
Everybody moans about it, but when something like "Happy Jack" happens no one even bothers to look. I felt distinctly exposed as I visited almost every day. 6 dozers and various other "Big Blokes" saw me. But why worry about some one like me taking a few pics and there on my own.
I made this "Development " clearly known to Chemello and chief planner Adams. If only I could have had a few other people there. Dont winge do something. Voice in the wilderness..Shag on a rock. Oh by the way Adams and Chemello I object to the destruction in my/your "Backyard" They know who I am and I think in A 2 Hour meeting with them they respected my views on "Happy Jack". I built up quite a relatgionship with Chemello, to the point that he replied within 2 days to every e mail i sent. Even suggested what should be my strategy on meeting the most important planner, Cameron Dick. . Dick is the only local pollie who wouldn't see me. If I was him I wouldn't see me either. Palaszczuik finally gave in and sent 5 of her flunkies to see me. That was the result of 50 emails i sent to her. Now I have to hassle Lance. Who would come with me?

David Harris, this forum is not a type of social media, like Facebook, for you to have interactions with other people. It's little wonder ICC ignore your comments when the whole purpose of this opportinity for feedback seems to have gone over your head. Please be quiet for a while so other members of the community have a chance to speak. Otherwise we'll all be lumped into the "crackpot" bucket with you.

  13. David Harris commented

Star. Read my comments more carefully. We do the heavy lifting you think your comments are taken seriously. Have you watched the destruction of our bush and residents fight for Eugene. We have to use every objections we can. This development is close to "Happy Jack". Name calling doesn't help anyone. Chemello and Adams took me seriously even if you dont. If you dont know how this system works ask Dickson. Cave and Adams council planners, which for your edification are leading members of the ICC.
