    The property is currently Pharmacy, Florist and Hairdresser at Street level with flats above. The flats are crammed with foreign workers from the cafe across the street. They often have loud parties. Mitchell St and Murriverie St is predominantly houses and semis. Adding an additional level to the building will detract from the streetscape and put more pressure on parking in the surrounding streets which are presently at breaking point due to patrons of the cafe who constantly park across residents driveways and in no parking zones right on the corner of Mitchell Street and Murriverie. The 379 bus is constantly sounding its horn because it cannot safely turn into Mitchell due to illegally parked cars right on the corner in ‘no standing’ zones. Adding an additional story will impact further on noise and be unsightly as surrounding dwellings are either single or 2 storey.
