I asked of you that you work on frustrating people who want Auxiliary Units. Surely there must be a way to stop them? Or how about you delay the process. We have pics of these units clearly showing people living in them. How about getting these people to agree that they not use the units as a spare room for whoever. I would also ask that you send out a planner to talk to us and visit some of these units. Its really soul destroying. The email just received from Mr Chemello. It should embarrass the council just can't use the word community. Even Blind Freddie would wonder why the word "community "Why Is it so hard for the council to talk about the community? Does the council realize how the fight to save Bellbird Pk must be taken seriously. Bellbird should be the jewel in the crown, Fat chance. Eugene St will lose 12,000 trees. You still haven't informed us how and why you have no problem in allowing developers to clearfell 1000s of trees. When will you put pressure on the state government to stop wholesale destruction of bush. How is it that who ever gives permission to clearfell should step forward. Are you aware that people in Bellbird look on the council as "the enemy".Why is it so difficult for someone from the council to represent people in Bellbird.

I agree with the above comment from David Harris. These auxiliary units are not being used by family. They are duplexes with both sides for rent. With the amount that are consistently for rent and my own observations of them they are not owner occupied. Rather the real estate companies are ones from interstate. As for trees more than One million have been lost in the Brentwood developments. I think it’s ironic council then gives residents 8 free plants. How about making development appropriate. Look at Forest Lake 15 minutes away. A range of block sizes and many trees were kept. This area also still has a koala population though it it literally being mulched up! There are no wildlife spotters. Maybe council can write a true letter to the residents of Bellbird Park saying they want to destroy all the natural areas and be a paradise for cheap housing (some like in Tamatea street are built on dams and water courses!). We have had no representation for decades now as the previous councillor approved dreadful developments and would not listen to any complaints. It is still happening with the administrator. Over 10 years ago I started voicing and writing objections not one was considered. There isn’t the infrastructure to even support these developments. If this was happening across the river at Bellbowrie these developments wouldn’t get through. Is it because it is a traditionally low to mid socio economic area. That massive power station across from this development was done with no community warning. Oh and it’s even built on old disused mines. As is this development!!!!! Yeah there are mines right through there.....as you know... in fact the land next to the power station where it is bushland is very unstable which is why it can’t be developed. You do realise there are mines under Henderson street?

When can we get a stop work moratorium on works in Bellbird Park? Public consultation please.
Greedy councillors dont care. Its all about the money.

Henderson street ,you want an Auxiliary unit, no problem. Now i know you will understand such units should not be "lived in ";but whilst we are on increasing the value of your house with this extra "room" we would like to point out to you another way you can increase the value build a duplex. You probably will have seen many or these "developments in your area" Try looking around the "Harris St " area , Its like duplex city. Its now looking like Springfield. It used to be a "leafy Spot"like much of Bellbird Park.
Actually there has been an application to build a whole area of duplexs there. I think if you take a close look at the "Ipswich Plan" you may find that if you get your application in quickly you to can have your own duplex. We'll throw in an auxiliary unit if you like There is likely to be a lead time of over 2 years until the new plan is promulgated so just look on the those areas zoned "residential"in Bellbird park make your application and away you go. You don't need to be a developer . I'm told that 80% of Bellbird Park are rentals, so you should move quickly to negatively gear your very own duplex. H&K s offering in relation to Henderson street in particular and Bellbird Park in general is a novel idea. A moratorium on works in bellbird Park you suggest. You suggest that this whole situation is about" Greedy Councillors", but my friend there isn't a council . You're obviously thinking about "our" former council. Now I think you need to think carefully about your suggestions. For my part i have found some very strange things happen in "The Ipswich Bubble". Bit like Disney land in many ways. Your suggestion is right outside the "bubble".What will be your next step in stopping works in Bellbird Park? It has been said that inside this "bubble" many complain vigorously whilst sitting on their hands. H&K i hope maybe the first response to my advice to all objectors to just put in a couple of sentences. That will save such a great deal of your time. Writing a thesis on your objection would probably be a catharsis for you no matter the fact that no notice will be taken of it.
