The 1.5m boundary is a compromise on the current 1.8m boundaries.
Any reduction in the boundary width will adversely affect both the light and the privacy of the affected neighbours (#50 and #46). This will create a bad precedent, and the current covenants have already been compromised.
As I presented to Council, every second set of semi have lounge open (per #50) and 2 bedroom on the perimeter to the next house. So by compromising the width #50 will loose privacy as #46-48 will look straight into the bedroom and lounge room. Current house design honours the privacy.
And the current widths allows the morning sun to shine into #50, this will be adversely affected, and loss of light and privacy will result from any more changes.
A bad precedent for a purposely designed street/original estate.

Further to my previous objection regarding widths, the boundaries were decided by the independent panel after a hearing and this is modification seems to be an attempt to get around that ruling.

The slab has already been laid. I suggest Council inspect ASAP, and if necessary, to have a stop to construction until it is ripped up/modified in accordance to the consent plan.
