I in no way object to the works themselves. I do however strenuously object to the fact that Council have confirmed to me in writing that no Construction Vehicle & Pedestrian Plan of Management (CVPPM) is required for these works. There is a no stopping zone in front of 63, 65 & 67 Gould St. 63 Gould st is on the corner of Gould & Beach Rd. Gould St is one way. It will be impossible for heavy plant, trucks, concrete pumps, skips, deliveries, etc to be safely managed without this. Furthermore parking in Gould St is already a total nightmare & the lack of Construction Vehicle & Pedestrian Plan of Management (CVPPM) will only exacerbate the parking nightmare. Council have completely washed their hands of any sense of management of this process & are relying entirely on a private certifier engaged by the property owner, & as a council resident, rate payer & adjacent resident to the works I am disappointed, terrified of what living next door to this development will be like during construction & completely disgusted that Council have completely disregarded my concerns.
I urge the council to reconsider their stance on this if for nothing else from the perspective of safety & complete lack of parking.
