I object to this DA on the grounds that I am against any form of development. Hi

  2. Angie Hamilton commented

I think that any development of this house would make Kissing Point Road even busier. I therefore object.

  3. Jennifer Stegmann commented

I don't want the DA to be approved as I would like Sydney to keep all properties over 80 years from being demolished.

  4. Bo Wang commented

I object to the proposed DA for demolition. The house looks lovely from the street and adds value to Kissing Point Road. It should be restored if possible.

  5. Anne Wood commented

I have enjoyed driving along Kissing Point Road with the houses being so in tune with the area. I would hate to see new modern blocks of apartments here as has happened in so many North Shore suburbs.

  6. John Achilleos commented

I believe this house can be renovated to once again become an attractive property asset in Kissing Point Road. Any application for it to be demolished should be strongly resisted in the interests of all who live in or use this road.

  7. Ian Price commented

I would like to see the building restored and as such prefer it doesn't get demolished

  8. Karen Reid commented

I think it would be much better if 69 Kissing Point Road could be retained and renovated or extended rather than demolished completely. I prefer to retain the history of older houses rather than knock down and start again. I object to the demolition.

I object to the DA for demolition. The number of Federation houses in Sydney is fast diminishing. We should preserve this architecture from a significant period in our history for prosperity. This house in particular is charming and demolition should not be permitted. It could be preserved and renovated into a lovely dwelling.

I object to this property being demolished as I consider the street view very attractive and in keeping with its surroundings

The owner of 69 kissingpoint rd has removed the stained glass windows and demolished the chimney. Not to mention ruining the cottage garden and neighbouring trees
    ..
He is vandalising the house. It needs to be retained 1915 heritage. Do we need as another ugly box like structure NO

This house is a good example of the Federation Style which is unique to Australia. I object to this DA and would rather see alteration  to the existing building.

  13. Steven Gao commented

I object to the DA for demolition. We should preserve this beautiful heritage.

  14. David Jennings commented

I object to the DA for demolition of this property. The current house is in keeping with the style of this part of Turramurra and a good example of the suburb's history. As well as being visually attractive.

  15. Jonathon Tremain commented

It's gone it has been DEMOLISHED!!!

  16. Louise Blanch commented

How very disappointing that the individuals who bought this house did so knowing it had an interim heritage order on it, they then fought council and went through another avenue to have it demolished. The north shore times published a story in 2017 that the new owners were to bring the "Gables" back to its former glory. Instead they removed all windows, chimney, verandah and verandah pillars, and white washed it, it was pretty much gutted before any approval was given.
I am disgusted with how individual have a complete disregard for heritage of buildings, what will go up in its place another boring rectangular home with no character, or is he going to try to subdivide .

It is incomprehensible how a stunning piece of heritage could be destroyed. Can someone please explain how/why this was allowed to happen? Devastating.
