Remove one (1) Melaleuca linarifolia, Snow in Summer, from the front yard, adjacent to the boundary with 3B MacPherson Street and replace with one (1) small-sized local native tree from Council’s Development Control Plan 2022, Annexure B3-2 Tree Canopy Replacement Planting List, of minimum 75L pot size, anywhere on the property, within one (1) month of removal. The tree's eastern leader is impacting the service wire and must be removed, the tree's outer canopy also requires pruning to provide property clearance to the roofline and gutter. To conduct these works will remove over half the tree's live canopy which will leave the tree a poor specimen. Prune one (1) Eucalyptus microcorys, Tallowwood,from the front yard, adjacent to the boundary with 3B MacPherson Street. i. Prune to remove deadwood ii. Prune to remove the crossing limb in the attached image as well as any other crossing branches iii. Remove any dead, broken, or hanging branches iv. At the time of inspection this small tree was in excellent health and growing with vigour, however it has likely germinated from a bird dropping and is an unsustainable location. This tree is only small however it is within proximity to the boundary fence, it is recommended that it be removed and replaced before it reaches larger proportions and damages surrounding structures. Magnolia: Remove and replace. This tree is only small, however it is being suppressed by the canopy of the Jacaranda which is compromising its natural shape and form. Jacaranda: This tree's Canopy is a sufficient distance away from all property lines. There is a Celtis and a Mulberry tree growing in the lower canopy of this tree, their removal is recommended to allow for more sunlight to address the applicant's concerns regarding shade, as well as the unrestricted growth of the Jacaranda. A Tree Permit Application is not required for the removal of these trees. The following pruning works are permitted only: Pruning of live branches not permitted, deadwood removal only. Cypress and Callistemon: At the time of inspection these trees were positioned a sufficient distance away from the property line and surrounding structures. Insufficient supporting documentation has been provided, as such, the application for removal has been refused. Additional information in the form of a comprehensive plumber's report with photographic evidence of tree roots being the cause of the damp is required.
