I strongly oppose this development. It seems that Bexley is being targeted the next place for high rise. Look at how small the streets are in residantial zones like these.
Kingsland ST is such a small st, I know they have a car park planned but think of all the extra added traffic congestion that will increase if this goes ahead of the many people in the property coming in and out. It will be a nightmare for the residents who already live in the area I can imagine.
Just today The Government has found out that they are having Infrastructure problems, this will increase issues rather than improve anything.

Strongly oppose. This is a busy intersection already. Roads are way too narrow to support this high rise. No train station at Bexley, so no high rises needed.

Re DA-2018/120, 7-9 Kingsland Rd Bexley 2207

I wish to submit an objection to this development.
Kingsland Rd already has several unit blocks in the street which are three stories high and blend in with the other homes in the street.
This development although within the height limits of the newly rezoned area is totally wrong for a street of this size.
Exactly how are the affordable homes going to be assessed and allocated? Are they going to be able to be purchased or rented by developer? In DA submission it states 20 units with 20% affordable housing, yet the traffic study says 20 units affordable housing, could this be clarified.
Also in regards to accessible housing being within 400m of public transport, already the busses are jammed packed at peak time, taking passengers to crowded and packed trains, this has been reported many times in the local and state media, there is not sufficient infrastructure for such an increase in residents. Schools both religious and state are already at capacity, as well as local shopping centres and hospital.
What sort of commercial businesses will be able to operate, there are many empty shops in Bexley currently, do we really need more?
Why is there no ASIC registration of the company 2207 Investments Pty Ltd, reports that have been submitted with DA have this as the company name? The name Sam Ayache also stated as owner on the documents has ABN as a sole trader, the entity name has been changed several times over the years as well as the name of the person operating, although the surname has stayed the same the Christian names have changed, is this legal?
In regards to the traffic study, is there any plan in place to change phasing of traffic lights at cnr of Stoney Creek Rd, Forest Rd and Kingsland Rd Bexley? How are another 30 potential cars going to get on to Forest Rd?
The intersection of Abercorn St and Kingsland Rd, although recently re-conformed, is very dangerous for a car to turn right out of Abercorn into Kingsland Rd towards Forest Rd, additional cars coming out of unit block will only exacerbate this intersection further,
I am not against development but feel six stories is too much for a street which is extremely busy in peak times to cope with.
Regards

Ann
