I don't think that this area can be developed any further. Traffic is already becoming a nightmare. What is the Council putting in place to deal with the pressure that this will put on existing (already squeezed) infrastructure?

This area is already overdeveloped and traffic on Canterbury Road and side streets is already over capacity. In addition I am concerned at more developments near the Cooks River. I am concerned for the environment of the river itself which has been slowly been coming to life in recent years due to the hard work and funding provided by Sydney Water and several levels of government as well as volunteer involvement. Such a task is made more difficult by increased high density living nearby. The Cup and Saucer Creek wetland which is near to this proposed development is one such example of rehabilitation.
I am also concerned about potential residents of this development who may not be aware of potential for flooding when they pay top dollar for their dwelling. I have already seen basement carparks flooded after heavy rain in new developments built far too close to the river and near this new proposed development.

It would be helpful if this alert notice indicated that this building is already constructed as you can see by the two previous comments that members of the public believe it is about a DA. This alert is just notifying people about the final certification. Sadly this awful development - one of many on Charles Street and in this case fronting Canterbury Road was approved by the previous council - a council that is now the subject of the current ICAC inquiry in NSW. The whole street is a blight on the urban landscape - zero amenity, poorly designed, cheap structures and unsafe - especially the turn out from Canterbury Road in and out of the street. People cross Charles Street on the corner and narrowly avoid being hit by turning cars. Let's hope this kind of development is never repeated.
