This property should be heritage listed and should not be allowed to be demolished in its entirety. The heritage integrity of the street is slowly being lost because of these type of developments. Why can’t the existing frontage of the house be retained and the extension/two-storey be applied to the rear of the house? This is what has happened with many other properties.
My recommendation is that the original frontage should be retained and the amendments/development considers that within its plans.
