We were not aware of this planning application and have only belatedly discovered that an iconic lemon scented (corymbia citriodora) to the front of the site may not be retained. It is understood that the project arborist has commented negatively on the tree's status. This tree is a magnificent and mature example and is prominent in the landscape. Because of its significance, any plans for its removal should be made more widely known in the area. It should be accorded the same status and protection as those located in the median strip on Invermay Grove.
