There seems to already be a lot of additional housing being erected in Bondi without the appropriate infrastructure, additional parks, schools, roads, parking. We may be able to fit the flats in but do we really want high density housing in Bondi? Look what has happened to other beachside suburbs that have moved to HD housing - surfers paradise, Gold Coast..,this is not for Bondi. Focus on fixing services for current residents before shipping in more. Our roads have been destroyed by developers, parking is awful and it takes 20-30mins to get up Bondi rd in the morning!

NO NO NO , Hall Street is evolving into another Bondi Junction and is losing it’s unique neighbourhood community character , with the possible redevelopment of the iconic Bondi Post Office looming my comment is NO MORE DEVELOPMENT leave Hall streets unique charm intact do not turn it into another souless high rise cavern

I agree with Amanda Hendricks... the soul of Bondi will be lost. Bondi is not just tourists it has a vibrant community who live here, some of whom like myself have been in the area for generations.
It’s our post office!!! It’s where we get and send post and parcels etc, it is always busy with people. We don’t want more retail shops .. we want to keep our post office for the community who live here.
As far as tourists go also most like the charm of the architecture and low rise that is Bondi. High rise can be anywhere.
And let’s not even discuss the ever increasing density of housing without the infra structure to support it!
I agree with so many others... we’re over it!! Leave our
Post Office and charm of old Hall St alone.

I am very concerned about overdevelopment on Hall St and the Post Office site particularly. The existing post office is a real centre of the ‘local’ suburb of Bondi Beach, and losing that would really damage the liveability of the area. It’s a beautiful building and it should not just be the facade that is retained. The overshadowing from a multilevel development that site would be a huge drawback. Do not change the low rise nature of the majority of Hall St! Do not, site by site, turn Bondi Beach into the Gold Coast - the ugliest coastal location in Australia!!!

As a resident of Waverley Council LGA I was shocked to read that there is a proposal to demolish the beautiful old Post Office on Hall St!!! Can we not preserve this iconic building? It is one of the few older buildings with character in the area and is a charming landmark. If we demolish this building, we lose yet another piece of history.

We have enough new buildings and apartments. Please do not allow this proposal to go through!!

Absolutely shocked to hear we are demolishing the post office for more housing. We are destroying the character of Bondi with every development application. Please don't sell out Bondi for the short term DA fees. We don't want to become the next souless suburb .
