Please, please, please, no more high rise developments in Bondi Junction. Our already congested roads and public transport just cannot cope. In addition, a 13 storey building will stick out like a sore thumb and is certainly not in keeping with the rest of the nearby Bronte Rd street scape.
I think it was pretty clear from the last election results that Waverly residents are against further high density development - please listen to your constituents, Waverley councillors.

What is the height restriction in construction in Waverly? There have been so many new approvals and construction for new high rise apartment buildings in Waverly, we are losing the look and feel of the area...I guess we probably gave that up years ago in Bondi Junction but we already have traffic congestion, pushing the limits on school class sizes and a gazillion buses going in and out of Bondi Junction. There should be a restriction on DAs that new approvals can only be for max 3 storeys (houses) unless replacing previous high rise and height restriction is limited to height of prior building? We want to continue to be able to see the sky in the eastern suburbs...

The place has lost some of its beauty, dirty, backpackers who don't care about basic housekeeping, please don't allow the place to go to the dogs, I love bondi some others don't give a damn

This application was lodged on the 12th of December. It is now the 19th and there are no documents to view on Council's website. Lodging a DA two weeks before Christmas (when many residents are on holiday) is a classic move by developers to lessen the number of submissions.

To add insult to injury, Brisbane Street, which is in close proximity to the development, has been without Telstra service for 8 consecutive days. Anyone who depends on Telstra internet service will be without access to this planning alert notification.

If the DA subverts the current LEP height and FSR guidelines, then I object to the development. All units must meet SEPP 65 apartment guidelines. Bondi Junction is under a massive development siege and Waverley Council and the state government must apply all 2012 LEP and DCP controls, otherwise, they are irrelevant and costly documents created at taxpayer's expense. I oppose any Voluntary Planning Agreement (if there is one) which would allow the developer to purchase air space above the controls, as this is a form of environmental prostitution.

I heavily object to this proposal. No more high rise buildings please in an already heavily congested area.
