I oppose this application on the following grounds:
    1. Each of the two dwellings are larger in floor area than many of the single dwelling houses around them. Dwellings as large as this should have yards of a suitable proportion. They are going to tower over the area in an oppressive way.
    2. The architectural style of the dwellings is completely out of character with the surrounding single dwelling residential dwellings. The proposed dwellings are in a style that I would expect to see in the city - not dropped in the middle of single residential homes. I would expect to see at least hip roofs or gable roofs so they fit in with the area.
    3. Chifley is a suburb that is coming alive again with young families and children playing in front and back yards. It is important that new dwellings support this suburban character because it is the young families who are here for the long run.
