The developer is seeking to significantly increase the height of the building on this land which is an ongoing pattern in the area that council needs to better control. The current building is significant in that it is one of the few properties in this area reminding us of our history and how the area has developed. Any development should be required to maintain at least the façade and be limited to no more than 6 or 7 stories so as to maintain some remaining part of the city scape.
