1. I believe we have a sufficient number of medical centres in Hornsby Central. We do not need to add another one. To list a few: Madison Practice, Hornsby Station Practice, Hornsby Fountain M/C, Hornsby Mall M/C, Burdett Street, Florence Street and a new one opening inside the shopping centre soon. I haven't mentioned the medical centres more than 5 minutes from this area. Hornsby does not need another medical centre.

2. Parking availability is unsatisfactory. Although there appears to be limited on-site parking (behind a roller door???), the applicant stated that parking is not an issue because the site is within walking distance of Hornsby Westfield where lots of parking is available. All of the abovementioned medical centres rely on the parking spaces available at Westfield Shopping Centre. This same parking area is being used by Centrelink which is a block away from Westfield, as well as rail commuters who can no longer park at Hornsby Station. Hornsby Westfield Shopping Centre car park is becoming very congested and, at times, it is difficult finding a parking spot just to go shopping, the main reason for the car park's existence.

I am a resident of 2 Pound Road (cnr Government Road) and note that there has been an increase in the Parking of Government Road since the opening of Centerlink (cnr Government Road and Pacific Highway).

Government Road is a narrow small road that services a 75 Unit block x 2, and also services State Rail. ( State Rail have an entrance at the end of Government Road giving them access to the Rail corridor, and often large State Rail trucks back up in Government Road, blocking the Street and creating chaos).

There is only street parking on one side of Government road with10 1 hour spaces available for State Rail, the 2 Unit blocks and now Centrelink.

Traffic has become a nightmare in Government Road since the opening of Centerlink.
The 10 spaces available for 1 hour is totally inadequate, and when State Rail is added to the mix, absolutely ridiculous.

Also added to the mix, is the apparent non Policing by the Council, checking on the 1 hour parking. With many cars staying longer. I note that Centrelink does not service customers within that Hour.

I do not understand how Council has allowed Centerlink to open in a building that does not include off street parking, and at the same time allowed this Parking nightmare to exist on a small Government Road. Our Security Cameras pick up each day evidence of this nightmare.

Council has appeared to have turned its back on providing adequate parking for the people of Centerlink and set Units crammed into the Government Road, Wanderers way precinct.
