I inadvertently posted a comment for this property on the alert for the sports ground in Alexandra Street. To view my comment please navigate to that page. For information. I have no objection to the proposal for the sports club.

Integrity:- Councillor Geoff Mc Donald
Definitions (3)
1. Strict adherence to a moral code, reflected in transparent honesty and complete harmony in what one thinks, says and does.
2, State of a system where it is performing its intended functions without being degraded or impaired by changes or disruptions in its internal or external environments.

Surely the planning authority and councillors (if they take the time to inspect the site above), must know the integrity of this part of Toowoomba should be preserved instead of allowing greed and self interest to determine three building sites instead of two in Simla Street.

The blame for what is happening in Toowoomba starts with State Gov't, it is they that set population density criteria for the Local Councils to follow and abide by, all this is based on money, trying to minimise the spending on infrastructure by stopping urban sprawl and packing us in like Sardines.
TRC is made up of good people who live in the area and I know that they feel the same as we do at what is happening to our city but they have a job to do.
Help them help us, email your state MP's and local Councillors direct, everyday if needed, continue to comment on this site. Make as much noise as you can and keep making it.
You will win because Toowoomba and it's life style needs to be maintained.
