Re: CHANGE TO A DEVELOPMENT APPROVAL
Sustainable Planning Act 2009 s369 & s376
Development Application No.: DA/29624/2012/VCHG/2
Property Location: 49 Creek Road, Burpengary East
Property Description: Lots 16, 17 & 18 RP 80649
Development Type: Request to Change the Development Approval - Material Change of Use - Development Permit for an Undefined Use (Manufactured Home Park)
In regard to Lots 49, 59, and 67 Creek Road Burpengary East, Austcorp No 903, cleared the land late 2016 taking down EVERY tree and the small pocket of rain forest. This area was a habitat for koalas (protected species) Kangaroos and an abundance of varied bird life...they were driven away.
Since this decimation, nature has done what it does best. The trees and native grasses have re-grown providing a new habitat for a variety of different native animals and birds. Should this Development be approved these Australian native animals will lose their homes... again.
I have also noted that during the work being carried out by large machinery that NO water tanks are on site to alleviate the dust which affects residents living on the boundary of this block. This should be addressed immediately.
It was stated on the original Application that a 5 metre allowance be made between future buildings and the fence line bordering Pacific Palms. It has now been requested it be reduced to only 2 metres - this is totally unacceptable. This needs to be re-considered and the 5 metre allowance should still stand.
Furthermore, the increase of housing will increase the number of motor vehicles causing the now very busy Eastern Service Road to be used beyond it's capability.
Is the mighty dollar more important than the safety and security of our aging population in these villages and are we not entitled to some "green space" and to enjoy the return of mis-placed wildlife.
It would seem so, but I hope not and that wise heads will re-consider this Application.
