Very sad to loose beautiful old homes like this to horrible Mc mansions with no character. Council needs to consider the street scape.

I am a local living in this part of the City of Canterbury. I am deeply concerned about any approval to demolish a significant local heritage home. It is a loss to our built environment and also to the social history of this proud neighbourhood.
The home is very good condition, and a wonderful example of homes of this early period of establishment of Earlwood. I would urge council to be forward thinking and to preserve that which makes our council unique and precious.
I also object to the proposal as it does not in any way provide more housing or better housing for people. It will provide a large home not in keeping with the neighbourhood or street scape. This part of Earlwood holds significant heritage value and is also near the wonderful heritage andn conservation areas. I urge council to decline this application.

It would be a huge shame to see yet another (original) home be demolished to make way for a 2 storey mansion with basement parking?!
Way too many properties have already been approved that have ruined the suburb and neighbouring suburbs. This city of Sydney & our suburbs are losing their identities and history - this needs to stop!
