We own 598 Forest Rd (South side of development). We feel the overall design is aesthetically pleasing but are concerned with the bulk of the building and feel it will dominate the surrounding streetscape. Perhaps it should have setbacks on the top level so it does not look so much like a huge box? This would also allow sun onto our property in the morning in winter which Shadow diagrams currently show in shade until 12pm. In relation to stormwater runoff we would like another 450x450 grated pit at the rear of the driveway, especially as the ground slopes toward the back here, and enforcement of permeable paving for the parking spaces and the 2.5m hedge along the perimeter of our property. We also propose there should be a full height brick or concrete block wall running the full length of the perimeter to prevent water running onto our property and to assist in reducing vehicular noise and car fumes. Re the front fence, the landscape plan shows the fence at our end in line with the front boundary line. This should be set back 900mm so that our line of vision is not affected when exiting our driveway. During construction we would also like a sediment wall along the full length of our perimeter to reduce dust and run off into our property.
