Why is this site being developed. It has a magnificent heritage home on it in fantastic condition. We need to preserve these properties for our future. If it was in the North Shore like Roseville it would be knocked back for demolition on all grounds. Give it a heritage listing please. It can still be developed in the rear of the property as there is plenty of room. Please no development here.

Why on earth is this being demolished? Two major questions arise. Is this beautiful house not part of the Ocean View Estate? This sizeable and valuable heritage slice of properties was created in the late 19th century and contains residences which exemplify house styles from the C19th and early C20th. Secondly, If this application is cited as, 'under assessment' by Council then why is there a large billboard advertising the forthcoming construction of these 7 townhouses as if the decision has already been approved?

It would be nice to think that the new Bayside Council can show us it's historical and heritage awareness and ability to act against the destruction of Bexley's treasures by some who are confident that these actions don't matter.
