Yet another uninspiring, out of the box, design from Time Architects. I suggest a visit to 10 Millward Street Brunswick to see a 3 D example of what it will be from the same architects. Dark walls, no articulation and heat area.

This design has a lack of articulation which makes it one monolithic building next door to one storey homes. A design to maximise habitation only.

34? The sheer number of proposed dwellings on this lot is very concerning.

The number of proposed dwellings on this site is completely excessive and the design shows no sensibility to either the quality of life of the proposed residents, or sympathy towards the neighbourhood. This is not a model for a sustainable future in any form.

Absolutely do not issue a planning permit / rushed thru building permit before a fully endorsed sign off from the residents in this street and effected streets. HAve urban planning dept in this zone considered all options? from this developer with the residents objections and sustainable living recommendations such as road safety, pedestrian safety, natural light for the drawfed dwellings aside , what will be the maximum day light hours available before shadows cast on the surrounding dwelling properties ,air pollution -34 more air conditioning exhausts , 34 more rubbish bins , 34 more vehicle exhausts 34 plumbing discharges not only affecting quality of life for adjacent residence but collectively the immediate environment

The lane way behind the proposed development and marked road on the proposed plans IS NOT A ROAD. It is a tiny lane way lined by the gardens and windows of other houses. If the development goes through these houses and gardens will have the traffic noises of the cars of 34 units coming and going at all times of the day and night. The lane way is also made of bluestone which has a reputation of buckling under pressure.
This development would tower over the one story houses on either side and plunge them into darkness. Most of the houses between Millward and Barry Streets are one story residential houses.
34 new units will have a huge impact on the local infrastructure which is already under pressure. The owner/developer has no experience in this area and is working on one principal only: Greed.
This development is an anathma to all of us who live in the neighborhood.

The number of proposed dwellings on this site seems excessive. The design shows no sensibility to either the quality of life of the proposed residents, or sympathy towards the neighbourhood. I agree, this does not seem to be a model for a sustainable future in any way or form. All for development, but done in the right way.

As the above comments suggest, this is a wholly excessive proposal that will have a strongly negative impact on the local community. It is very poorly designed, inconsistent with local area housing and infrastructure, and should not be approved.
