As owners and residents of a nearby apartment, we strongly oppose the proposed boarding housing development. The development will drastically effect the nature and foundational characteristics of the Ramsgate area as well as surrounding neighbourhoods. Ramsgate is a vibrant and thriving neighbourhood with a huge emphasis on family and community. It is important to recognise, improve and maintain this community in a positive way rather than facilitating board housing - disturbing the overall ethos and nature of the Ramsgate area.
Additionally, many local small shop owners will also be hugely effected by the proposal through loss of property, income and clientele.
For many locals, the proposal of 24 hour clear ways along rocky point road will pose significant loss of local parking and could potentially threaten the safety of elderly and young children in such chaotic traffic conditions.
