The Applicant may well not know it, but to set the record straight, whether or not this tree is causing hazard to the property, I do not believe that the principal purpose of its planting, as stated, was to be a screen between properties. I believe it was required to be planted as a replacement for a mature eucalypt that was purposely ring-barked in the period between the lodgement of the original DA, to redevelop 44-46 Darling Street, and its determination.
