4 dwellings on this one site would look out of character on this street. This street is narrow and a major route for traffic, particularly school traffic. I am concerned that 4 dwellings with each owner having 2 cars would cause traffic congestion and/or take up street parking in Davis Street and/or surrounding streets.

The objection for the proposal at 17 Davis street are due to the following concerns :

- 4 dwellings on the existing block is an overdevelopment for the subject site.

- No traffic report has been produced. Traffic is already mayhem around the site. The proposal site is located between Sackville street and Fitzwilliam street. Any additional traffic will be detrimental to the local residents.

- The current infrastructure and amenity can not cope with an increase in dwelling in a single block.

- Parking is already extremely limited around the subject site, especially around school time. Developer/Applicant needs to address this and provide space for visitors parking. Hence, Council traffic engineer should conduct an independent assessment.

- An independent arborist report should be caried out by Council. The neighbouring trees are at risk, as the tree roots will be damaged in the excavation process and the long term health of the tree will be impacted.

- The proposal is not in line with the neighbourhood character. The height and bulk of the proposal will dominate the streetscape and neighbouring properties.

- More landscaping should be provided as a lot of mature trees will be cut down.

- This is an unsuitable development because traffic is already extremely heavy around the site. David Street is a very narrow street and additional cars will cause traffic congestion and possibly accidents

- Parking is already extremely limited around Davis Street, especially around school time so space for both off-street visitors and residential parking needs to be factored-in to th e development.

We object to the proposed development of four dwellings on the site of 17 Davis street Kew. We believe this is over development and out of character of the area.
One of our main objections is to the disruption to the street to an already extremely busy street. Davis street turns into complete grid lock and only single cars to proceed. We observed and took photos on the previous thirsday of the garbage truck having to reverse back to sackville street as he could not collect the rubbish due to excessive cars in the street. This also involved a medium sized truck which had parked illegally on the corner of Davis and Fitzwilliam. This was possibly due to some building works being undertaken at Carey school.
Why should residents have to put up with our rubbish not being collected which has happened twice now due to lack space due to increased cars.
I would also be very interested to know what traffic management reports have been submitted to the council and how will the development be managed?
It is significant to note the old and existing trees on the site of 17 Davis street. we am under impression developers just pay the relative small fine and cut down any tree it is just a cost factor in the overall building works. What also happens to the neighbouring tree roots we know of several cars in Alfred street where the buildings were built to the bounty. All the existing trees on the neighbours side died.
I have not personally looked at the plan yet but would be very interested to see what the height is how this detracts to within the neighbourhood and what sustainability features these townhouses have.
Its is interesting how developers (along with the proposed development 15 parklane) put in submissions during school holidays hoping we the residents will not see the advertisement and object.

To whom may concern,

I object to the proposed development of four dwellings on the site of 17 Davis street Kew and my concern as follows;

1. Four 3-bedrooms dwellings are too packed to this 795m2 site. The height of 3 levels above ground is definitely too tall and IS out of character of the LOCAL area. The residents in this development easily overlook the neighbours and local residents walking pass the site. The privacy of local residents will be affected by this development.

2. Davis Street is narrow and busy and traffic is already pretty busy. It will be safety concern due to 8 cars drive in and out on this rather narrow site on a daily base. No traffic assessment has been done by this development.

3. No waste management assessment has been done in the development. It could be issues to put all bins out at road site for four families as the front of the site is pretty narrow.

4. No stormwater/rainwater assessment has been done for this development. The proposed development has no much landscape area left and most surface of the site will be typical impervious areas. The storm and rainwater will run off directly to the local sewage system from this site and will increase the chance of flooding and water pollution.

5. Two big pretty trees have been disappeared since the current owner moved this property. The new development of four dwellings will make more trees and landscape area disappear.
