I fully support this application to continue the trial trading hours, keeping this great venue open till midnight Monday to Saturday, and 11pm and Sunday.

Since opening The Golden Age Cinema has become a fantastic community asset, not only to people living in the area, but from all over because of it's proximity to public transport. There is nothing else like this in Sydney. The longer it is open into the evening, the more people can potentially benefit from and enjoy it.

The Cinema is also in a narrow, commercial street, so I doubt noise would effect any people trying to sleep. The main walk to public transport is up and down Wentworth Ave, a major street already busy with traffic at all hours.

The city should be doing as much as possible to support small, independent projects like this.

I fully support the application by Golden Age Cinema to continue their trial trading hours, opening until midnight Monday to Saturday, and 11pm and Sunday.

The Golden Age Cinema and Bar is a fantastic venue that adds much to Sydney's cultural life. It is a unique space that supports new independent film and offers a window into our cinematic history. The bar is a great gathering space for the local community and for visitors from all over Sydney.

The venue is situated in a good location near public transport, close to other bars, restaurants and pubs. It's a busy part of Sydney, so there will be likely be no noticeable effects from the foot traffic of people leaving the bar later.

Small venues like this should be actively supported as they offer a safe, calm alternative to the big 'beer barns' on offer around the city. The CoS has a good track record supporting small bars and cultural initiatives like this and they should continue to do so.

I fully support the application by Golden Age Cinema to continue their trial trading hours, opening 8am until midnight Monday to Saturday and 8am until 11pm on Sunday.

Small venues like this, who are committed to supporting the cultural life of Sydney rather than being driven purely by the pursuit of high profit margins and large crowds, should be supported by the City of Sydney.

In a time when many of Sydney's most revered small venues are being shut down due to noise complaints, depriving the community of these cultural hubs, the Golden Age Cinema offers a non-intrusive space - in a non-residential area and close to public transport - for Sydney-siders to safely come together around cultural pursuits. Being in a busy commercial area and easily exited by public transport, it is unlikely that foot traffic from the cinema will negatively impact the area.

Allowing the cinema to be open until midnight (and 11pm on Sundays) will give the Golden Age a real chance to survive and offer a safe and arts focused alternative to Sydney night-life, to the real benefit of the community.

I fully support the application to continue the trial trading hours (8am until midnight Monday-Saturday and 8am until 11pm on Sunday) for Golden Age Cinema.

This venue is an important part of the nightlife of the area, offering a unique experience not found elsewhere in Sydney. As the city's night culture declines due to lockout laws it is important to promote diverse experiences and forms of entertainment.

I have attended screenings of many great films and gigs at Golden Age and never experienced anything but quiet and orderly exits from the venue by patrons. The close access to public transport options provides an easy and quick departure for those leaving Golden Age.

I support this application to continue the trial trading hours, keeping The Golden Age venue open till midnight Monday to Saturday, and 11pm and Sunday. The original closing hours of 10pm seem like bizarrely early hour to close - not even prime time films on television finish before 10:30!

This is a vibrant and unique bar and cinema, a small 60 seat theater always packed with movie and arts lovers. The visitors are not rowdy and the atmosphere is always fun and pleasant. There is nowhere else in Sydney that provides this sort of experience - the films are a mix of new and old, lovingly curated to include important cult and historical films alongside current international and local festival winners.

It's devastating seeing the city shut its doors earlier and earlier every year, and a venue like this staying open for longer is crucial avenue for enriching our collective cultural experience, as well as providing many local filmmakers with opportunities for screenings.
