- Alterations and additions to the ANZAC Memorial Hyde Park including construction of an underground Education and Interpretation Centre beneath the southern side of the Memorial and minor internal reconfiguration of the existing building. The works comprise partial removal and reconstruction of the southern stairs, walls and floors, excavation between the Memorial and Liverpool Street and temporary site establishment works. Use of the Education and Interpretation Centre in association with major, ceremonial and private events is proposed between 6am - 11pm, Mondays to Sundays inclusive. The application is Integrated Development requiring the approval of the Heritage Division of the Office of Environment & Heritage under the Heritage Act 1977 and NSW Office of Water (Department of Primary Industries) under the Water Management Act 2000.
